Connectify Celebrates One Year!

This May, Connectify recognizes our first year of providing human resource services to organizations and their employees. As we celebrate this milestone, we reflect on the journey that brought us to this moment. Starting Connectify was fueled by our passion for serving others. It has and continues to be hard work, but the saying is true: “When you do what you love, you never work a day in your life!” The days fly by, and our team is inspired and fulfilled.

Connectify is a start-up built around a team and partners with 140 years of PEO experience serving small to mid-sized businesses. Our work at Connectify is simply a continuation of that experience. We are privately and locally owned and will stay that way. The Connectify name is a continual reminder of the outcomes we seek in every interaction and transaction with our clients and their employees. We connect clients to resources, products, and services that simplify their existing efforts so they can better achieve their objectives.

Connectify established specific and lofty goals for our first year. They were tall hurdles, but I am proud of how our team demonstrated their ability to achieve objectives on behalf of our clients. Connectify has secured a full suite of employee benefit offerings, launched a highly competitive retirement plan, implemented a full-service human resources information system, and employed top talent representing every functional area of expertise in human resources.

Achieving these goals has allowed us to exceed our target for the number of clients and employees that we serve. Every week, our team is encouraged when clients reach out and share success stories. “I sleep so much better at night since I started working with you!” and “This is so much simpler now!” Connectify clients enjoy great benefit offerings, state-of-the-art technology, and first-class communication, consultation, and training to help them succeed.

Over this past year, the support we have received from the community has been overwhelming. People have provided encouragement, validated our client-centered services, and offered to help make new connections. This support has inspired our team, fueled our pursuits, and deepened our commitment to our community. We are pleased to share that in our first year, we volunteered over 35 hours and raised funds for many local non-profit organizations, including Habitat for Humanity, Meals for the Heartland, Count the Kicks, American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, West Des Moines Human Services Adopt-A-Family, UnityPoint Health Compassion Fund, Junior Achievement, Character Counts, and Des Moines Pastoral Counseling’s Women Helping Women. Our client and community commitment are at the heart of everything we do at Connectify.

As we reflect on this past year, we are thankful. Thankful for the clients and employees that have trusted us and the communities that have supported us. As a leader, I am happier than ever because I am fulfilling my purpose of serving and giving back to others–the businesses we serve, our team, the community, and my family. I often pinch myself that I have the privilege of working with the talented Connectify team of exceptional individuals who have the heart to serve clients that I care for deeply.

Thank you.

Melissa Ness, Connectify CEO & President
